Ben Davies netted twice as Notts County sealed a comfortable win over Yeovil.
The Magpies went ahead through Craig Westcarr, who chipped the ball delicately over keeper John Sullivan.
Davies powered a shot which Sullivan fumbled off the post and into the net, before the midfielder struck again with his low effort.
Paul Huntington had the chance to salvage pride for Yeovil but his header found Stuart Nelson's hands, and Lee Hughes volleyed home to seal the win.
Notts County manager Craig Short told BBC Nottingham: "It feels a relief, you want to put a performance on. We won against Dagenham but didn't really perform.
"I was pleased for the players because there was a little bit of extra pressure today because of the occasion and all the ex-players here, a lot of famous names who played for this club. I didn't want them to get side-tracked by that.
"They showed signs against Sheffield Wednesday, who had a strong side out, also with the comeback last week where we got lucky. I think we're building slowly and we could have had more goals today but nice to have a clean sheet."
Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton told BBC Somerset: "I'd like to take responsibility for what happened today, I'm not happy with it and I'd like to apologise to the travelling supporters because that wasn't good enough.
"We need to shake things up, we need to change things, there's one thing that I'm not is a shirker and there will be a change of fortunes for the football club and for the way that we're playing.
"We're going to carry on fighting but in the right way, trying to pass it, get it down and have a little more conviction in our play."
