Ivorian Zoko continued an impressive start to his career in England
Carlisle struck two goals in each half to demolish MK Dons and move to the top of League One.
Francois Zoko volleyed in the first from 12 yards before James Berrett swept home from Gary Madine's nod down.
Zoko and Berrett set up Madine to score from 12-yards and Tom Taiwo applied a close-range finish for the fourth.
Dons boss Karl Robinson was sent to the stands after Carlisle's first and he watched Peter Leven drill home a consolation from 35 yards.
But that was too little too late for the visitors who found Zoko impossible to deal with.
His opener came after good work from Madine who headed Berrett's corner back across the area.
Robinson was ordered from the touchline following an argument in the aftermath of that strike and his afternoon continued to deteriorate as the Dons capitulated.
A neat chip from Frank Simek was headed down to Berrett by Madine for Carlisle's second during first-half injury time.
Zoko was then involved in the build-up for the third and fourth goals as Carlisle capitalised on their dominance.
MK Dons manager Karl Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio: "I'll take responsibility for it. I got things wrong maybe and I'll learn from them and come back stronger.
"I shouldn't have kicked the water-bottle and get sent off. Maybe me doing that riled the players and they scored in that period while I was sat in the stand.
"We had a good chat in the dressing room afterwards and it was a big learning curve for us today. We don't have a right to win games.
"When you miss chances and things don't go your way you have got to keep digging in. "
