Yeovil 0-1 Huddersfield

Huddersfield debutant Nathan Eccleston scored the only goal against Yeovil, who missed a first half penalty.

The on-loan Liverpool striker fired into an open net after Jordan Rhodes had been denied by Alex McCarthy.

Yeovil's spot-kick came on the stroke of half-time when Ryan Mason was fouled in the box by Neal Trotman, but Dean Bowditch blasted it over the bar.

More chances went begging for Yeovil as Gavin Tomlin and Andy Welsh missed.

Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton told BBC Somerset:

"I thought Owain Tudur Jones put in a very workman-like performance and along with Shaun McDonald was our man-of-the-match.

"Both teams were pretty poor. We didn't create many chances and I cannot remember Alex McCarthy making too many saves at our end.

"In the end we just stifled each other out and I'm just disappointed we didn't score from the penalty spot and come away with the draw."
