Southend fought back from a goal down to earn their third away win of the season against Leyton Orient.
After a goalless first half, the hosts took the lead when Adam Chambers pounced on a loose ball and produced a fine finish in the 57th minute.
But Southend hit back two minutes later when captain Adam Barrett punished Ben Chorley's poor clearance.
And they sealed the win when midfielder Alan McCormack pounced on Lee Barnard's blocked shot in the 72nd minute.
Southend United manager Steve Tilson told BBC Essex:
"It is nice to get an away win. I think we have had seven games without an away win and it will be nice for the local press to report on an away victory.
"We really frustrated them, they put a lot of long balls in but I thought we coped well with them.
"It was a workman-like performance for us and it is great to get the win."
