Yeovil withstood the assault of 10-man Charlton to claim a point in atrocious conditions in Somerset.
With the wind behind them in the first half, Town took a deserved lead when Jon Obika finished Ryan Mason's pass.
Charlton were then reduced to 10 when Sam Sodje was sent off for a professional foul on Mason.
Athletic equalised when substitute Akpo Sodje slammed home a 25-yard effort but, although they pushed hard late on, the visitors could not find a winner.
Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton told BBC Somerset:
"I think in the first-half we dominated play and cut them open without kicking it long and using the conditions that way.
"In the second-half we showed dogged determination, character, spirit and all the things I ask from my players.
"I'm absolutely buzzing after that performance."
Charlton boss Phil Parkinson told BBC London 94.9:
"If you analyse the second half and how many chances we had, like the disallowed goal, which was a very contentious decision, then you'd have to say that we should have won it.
"We had the elements against us and I felt that even with just ten men, if we got to half time at 0-0, we'd have a great chance."
