Norwich twice came from behind to earn a point at Southampton.
Adam Lallana put Saints in front with a low strike but Wes Hoolahan equalised after his initial penalty was saved.
The spot kick was given after Lloyd James fouled Chris Martin and although Kelvin Davis saved Hoolahan's strike he could not keep out the rebound.
David Connolly restored Saints' lead with a curling effort before substitute Stephen Hughes capitalised on Davis's inability to gather Martin's low shot.
Southampton manager Alan Pardew told BBC Radio Solent:
"You couldn't fault the quality of the game, it was a match that would have perhaps graced a higher division.
"Defensively we were a lot better and in all honesty, it was a game I thought we should have won.
"Although we are disappointed we haven't won it, it was an absolutely brilliant game. We like entertainment factor here and to keep you all entertained."
Norwich manager Paul Lambert told BBC Radio Norfolk:
"It was a brilliant game, as good as I think you'll see this season.
"I was disappointed at the goal we lost, but all credit to them for coming back, what they did was excellent.
"They're a good side Southampton, they're down there by default, it could be a massive point."
