Hartlepool and Brentford cancelled each other out in a drab draw on a wet and windy night at Victoria Park.
Both teams struggled to create chances but Hartlepool goalkeeper Scott Flinders made decent saves from Sam Saunders and Sam Wood.
Denis Behan shot wastefully wide for the hosts after being put clear.
And Brentford's best chance came with 12 minutes remaining as Wood headed at goal from a deep cross only to see the ball deflect wide.
