Oldham's bid for a fourth league win on the bounce was undone by poor finishing as they were held to a draw by Yeovil.
The Latics wasted a hat-trick of clear chances, the worst of which came when Keigan Parker dragged his shot off target after good work by Pawel Abbott.
Chris Taylor then had an effort beaten away by keeper Alex McCarthy before skying the rebound, while Parker fired wide with just the keeper to beat.
Yeovil offered little in attack, though Ryan Mason drilled narrowly off target.
Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton told BBC Somerset:
"I think we played some really good football, I always felt comfortable in the way we defended and the way we pressed them all over the pitch.
"We're trying to develop this talent...we're giving them a platform and then all of a sudden they're getting picked for England U17s, 18s, 19s, 20s, 21s.
"We'll be massively under strength against Brighton and they've got to come down and try and pull us to pieces but we'll be ready for the fight and a lot of people will have a chance to stake a place in the team."
