Brentford turned in a gutsy defensive display to earn a hard-earned point away at free-scoring Huddersfield.
Home substitute Lee Novak went closest to breaking the deadlock on 85 minutes but his goal-bound strike was cleared off the line by Mark Phillips.
Bees keeper Lewis Price also did well to tip over a fine 30-yard strike from midfielder Antony Kay.
But Brentford could have stolen the points on 70 minutes when Cleveland Taylor miscued a close-range shot.
Huddersfield manager Lee Clark told BBC Radio Leeds:
"We didn't play with much tempo in the first half and didn't create much at all.
"In the second half we stepped it up a bit and created some chances, but we just couldn't get it in the back of the net.
"We didn't play to the levels we have been of late, but we kept a clean sheet and took a point, so we will not be too sad about this result.
"We are still unbeaten at home this season and will take the positives from this game and bounce onto the next one."
Brentford manager Andy Scott told BBC London 94.9:
"We've done a lot of defensive work this week in training just to try and eliminate a few things that we saw against Charlton that they exploited.
"We changed it around a little bit and had probably the two best chances of the game.
"It seems like they couldn't break us down, which is what we're about, and we attacked with a bit of pace.
"I thought we were very positive going forward and we looked solid and I was very pleased with it."
