Brighton   1 - 0   Wycombe

Striker Nicky Forster grabbed the only goal of the game 15 minutes from time to give Brighton their first victory of the season.

Forster struck his third goal of the campaign from point-blank range after substitute Dean Cox set him up with an accurate cross.

The home side found it hard to get through Wycombe's resolute defence.

Brighton should have doubled their lead at the end but substitute Gary Hart missed an open goal.

Brighton manager Russell Slade told BBC Sussex:

"I'm really pleased to get that monkey off our back. They made life difficult, playing 4-5-1, and we had to work very hard.

"I think we were well worth it, we had our lions share of chances, 5 or 6, and I don't think Michelle had a proper save to make.

"If we'd have played today off the back of two wins we might have made life easier for ourselves, but we were a bit nervy at the end."
