Walsall   0 - 0   Gillingham

Gillingham picked up their first away point of the season with a goalless draw in a poor match at Walsall.

The visitors had the ball in the goal early in the match, but Mark McCammon's close-range strike was ruled out for a handball offence.

Steve Jones had Walsall's best chance of the opening period, but his rising drive was comfortably saved by visiting keeper Simon Royce.

And late on, Sam Parkin curled a left-footed shot wide of the far post.
