Dominant Leeds eased to victory over Tranmere as they maintained their 100% start to the season.
Jermaine Beckford hit the post for the home side before Bradley Johnson scored after Luciano Becchio's header had been parried by keeper Luke Daniels.
Beckford nipped in and sent a shot in off the foot of the far post to add a second for Leeds.
A Johnson effort then struck the woodwork but Becchio headed in the rebound as Tranmere were well beaten.
Leeds manager Simon Grayson told BBC Radio Leeds:
"We started exactly how we wanted, with a high tempo and really pressing them and I think Jermaine (Bekford) could have had a hat-trick within the first 10 minutes.
"For me the best bit of it all was the work-rate of the team throughout the whole match, plus our passing was excellent.
"If their keeper didn't make the saves he did we could have won by much more. Everything came together for us today."
Tranmere manager John Barnes tells BBC Radio Merseyside:
"I think we allowed them (Leeds) to put on that performance. They are a very good side and that is probably one of the best displays from them I've seen (from them).
"Once you go 2-0 down and you're chasing the game and their tails were up. When we are in procession we have to do better - we have to be braver and believe in what we're doing."
