Beckford got a late winner to the delight of Leeds's travelling fans
Leeds came from behind to secure a dramatic late win over Walsall to make it three wins out of three.
The Saddlers went ahead in the 79th minute when Sam Parkin hammered home a penalty after Rui Marques had brought down Steve Jones.
But nearly 4,000 Leeds fans saw Bradley Johnson grab an equaliser at the far post following an Andy Robinson corner.
Jermaine Beckford turned central defender Manny Smith before smashing in a low left-footed shot for the winner.
Leeds manager Simon Grayson told BBC Radio Leeds:
"when you get a victory late on and with a quality strike like that it's obviously going to be a very happy camp.
"It's rounded off a good start to the season for us and I think over the course of the game it was a result we had to dig in and fight for but it's a great result for us.
"It's places like Walsall and Wycombe you have to go and get results and today has showed we've got the character and belief that we can go and win anywhere we go to."
Walsall manager Chris Hutchings told BBC WM:
"We switched off from a corner and got punished, and then Jermaine Beckford did what he does best.
"I think a lot of people would have enjoyed the game.
"It's difficult because we haven't got a point, which we should have done from the position we were in."
