Goals from Adam Barrett and Jean Francois-Christophe ensured already-relegated Cheltenham finished the season with defeat at Southend.

Cheltenham started well and could have opened the scoring when Michael Antonio hooked over from six yards early on.

But Southend's Theo Robinson had a goal ruled out for a handball before Barrett headed in a Simon Francis free-kick.

The hosts' advantage was then doubled when Christophe crashed home a 20-yard shot after Franck Moussa's lay off.
