Yeovil keeper Chris Weale scored four minutes into injury time as the relegation-haunted Glovers earned a dramatic draw against doomed Hereford.
United went ahead through Jennison Myrie-Williams after 27 minutes when he knocked in Steve Guinan's cross.
Andros Townsend missed a penalty for Yeovil and Hereford made it 2-0 when Guinan smashed in Matt Done's cross.
But Luke Rodgers' smart shot made it 2-1 and Weale earned a crucial point as he headed home Kieran Murtagh's corner.
Hereford midfielder Matt Done told BBC Hereford & Worcester:
"There was no pressure on us tonight after we have all been playing with nerves in the last few weeks and that showed in our performances.
"Before the game the gaffer [Graham Turner] told us to go out and enjoy it and get a bit of pride back for ourselves.
"We did that and going forward I thought we were brilliant tonight as we were always a threat."
Yeovil Town goalkeeper Chris Weale told BBC Somerset:
Keeper Weale relives late goal
"You watch [the strikers] a lot from the other end. You get frustrated sometimes because you think if they'd done a different run they'd have scored but I was pleased to go up and score.
"I've never scored before, only as a youngster when I was playing outfield a bit.
"We played really well. We created a lot of chances and deserved to win."
