Northampton's relegation worries increased after losing to Southend.

Southend's Jean-Francois Christophe broke the deadlock when heading home Franck Moussa corner.

Northampton levelled with Adebayo Akinfenwa converting Danny Jackman's cross but Southend's Theo Robinson beat Chris Dunn at his near post for 2-1.

Lee Barnard increased the lead when he rounded Dunn for 3-1 before Aleksandar Prijovic pulled back a consolation after firing home from 15-yards.
