Tranmere moved to within a point of the League One play-off zone with a home win over Bristol Rovers.
Rovers scored when Aaron Cresswell's free-kick appeared to take a deflection past goalkeeper Steve Phillips.
David Pipe had a shot deflected over and Daryl Duffy headed wide as the visitors fought back.
But Tranmere doubled their lead on 64 minutes when Ian Moore produced a deft finish after a great run by Cresswell and later on Ed Sonko shaved the bar.
