Leeds extended their unbeaten run to nine games and kept up their promotion challenge with a win at Colchester.

Argentine striker Luciano Becchio slammed home the only goal of the game from the edge of the area after latching onto Robert Snodgrass' pass.

Casper Ankergren made two impressive saves to deny Colchester's Karl Hawley and Mark Yeates during the match.

Jermaine Beckford could have added a second for Leeds late on but was denied by U's goalkeeper Mark Cousins.
