Northampton eased their relegation worries with a comprehensive victory over a lacklustre Stockport.

Adebayo Akinfenwa fired the Cobblers' first into the top corner from an Aleksandar Prijovic pull-back.

Abdul Osman converted Luke Guttridge's cross to double the lead before Guttridge himself drove in a low 18-yard shot to make it 3-0.

Substitute Scott Vernon added a fourth on his debut, tapping in after County keeper Owain Fon had dropped a cross.
