Mark Laird's goal ensured Millwall moved level on points with Dons

MK Dons' bid for promotion suffered a blow as they were defeated at home by fellow high-flyers Millwall.

The home side started well and Jason puncheon shot wide after rounding goalkeeper David Forde, while Luke Chadwick also missed a decent chance.

However, Mark Laird put the visitors in front against the run of play as he glanced in James Henry's free-kick.

The Dons did find the net as Jason Puncheon turned in Jemal Johnson's cross but he was ruled to be offside.
