MK Dons lost further ground in the race for automatic promotion as they were held to a fourth consecutive draw.
The Dons dominated the first half and came close to taking the lead when Jason Puncheon struck the crossbar.
Sam Baldock put the hosts ahead on the hour mark after Luke Chadwick broke clear and unselfishly squared for the striker to tap into an empty net.
But Andy Butler rescued a point for Huddersfield when his header from a corner was deflected past Willy Gueret.
