Scunthorpe's promotion hopes suffered another setback as Troy Deeney's late strike earned Walsall a point.
With little action in the first half, it was Walsall who threatened first after the break when Deeney headed against the underside of the crossbar.
But Scunthorpe took the lead when substitute Kayode Odejayi headed in Grant McCann's free-kick.
However, Deeney produced an excellent finish with a shot from the edge of the box to equalise for the visitors.
