Oldham 0-2 Bristol Rovers

Oldham were left counting the cost of a missed penalty as they fell to their second home defeat of the season.

Top scorer Lee Hughes saw his weak spot-kick saved by Steve Phillips, after the keeper was harshly judged to have upended the Oldham striker.

Rovers then went ahead just after the break as Darryl Duffy's low shot from 14 yards found the back of the net.

Byron Anthony then doubled the lead as he scrambled home after Stuart Campbell's free-kick caused chaos.
