A first-half goal from Nathan Clarke was enough to help Huddersfield see off Leeds in Saturday's League One match.
Clarke rose unmarked to nod home Gary Roberts' corner after 16 minutes to grab his third of the season.
Leeds battled back immediately with lively winger Andy Robinson forcing Alex Smithies into a fingertip save.
The visitors dominated the second half as Robert Snodgrass' drive was well-saved and skipper Richard Naylor headed against the post in the final minutes.
