In-form Aaron Wilbraham scored against his old club to give MK Dons a hard-fought victory at Stockport and cement second place in League One.
Released by Jason Puncheon, Wilbraham turned Jonny Mullins and converted from 16 yards to give the visitors the lead.
Mullins looked to have equalised but his goal was disallowed for a foul on Dons goalkeeper Willy Gueret.
Puncheon and Alan Navarro went close and the home side had several chances but Wilbraham's goal proved decisive.
