Calvin Andrew grabbed a dramatic last-minute winner to end Brighton's run of four successive home league defeats, with a victory over Hartlepool.
The visitors started well and took the lead when skipper Michael Nelson converted a cross by Joel Porter.
Seagulls captain Nicky Forster levelled from close range after substitute Seb Carole squared Dean Cox's deep cross.
Brighton pushed on and Andrew, on loan from Crystal Palace, nodded in Kevin McLeod's cross to bag the three points.
