Colchester came from behind to see off 10-man Northampton in Tuesday's League One match to extend their unbeaten League One run to seven matches.

Adebayo Akinfenwa gave the visitors the lead, blasting in from close range following Abdul Osman's lofted pass.

After Northampton's on-loan full-back Paul Rodgers saw red with his second booking, Pat Baldwin headed on to Mark Yeates, who drilled in the equaliser.

Scott Vernon grabbed the winner after Kem Izzet's effort had hit the bar.
