A fine Steve Phillips save 10 minutes from time secured a draw for Bristol Rovers in an otherwise forgettable encounter against Colchester.

The goalkeeper dived to block Mark Yeates' close-range effort after Yeates had been put through by Kemal Izzet.

Earlier, Colchester substitute Anthony Wordsworth was booked for interfering with the taking of a first-half corner while warming up.

Rovers' best chance fell to Jo Kuffour, who found the side-netting.
