Chris Whelpdale handed Peterborough a win over Walsall although the result would have been more emphatic had it not been for Clayton Ince's heroics.
Whelpdale stabbed in from close range after Craig Mackail-Smith had flicked a long Charlie Lee throw into his path.
Keeper Ince prevented Aaron Mclean and George Boyd doubling the home side's lead before the interval.
He then deflected a Boyd drive against an upright before blocking Mackail-Smith, who was clear on goal.
