Tranmere continued their impressive home form in League One as skipper Antony Kay netted an injury-time winner against struggling Brighton.
The game looked set to end goalless after Rovers created a series of chances but failed to make them count.
But Kay forced the ball home in the 93rd minute after an Ian Moore effort came back off an upright.
Nicky Forster had Brighton's best efforts, forcing a good save from Danny Coyne and then hitting the post.
Tranmere: Coyne, Johnson, Chorley, Goodison, Taylor, Moore, Kay, Jennings, Shuker, Savage, Greenacre (Wilson 73).
Subs Not Used: Antwi, Gornell, Sonko, Achterberg.
