An own goal from Swindon defender Jerel Ifil 20 minutes from time gifted Yeovil a hard-fought victory.
Craig Alcock gave Yeovil an early lead when he sneaked in to smash home from Danny Schofield's corner.
Lee Peltier's close-range strike then made it 2-0 before Michael Timlin's fabulous 20-yard free-kick halved Swindon's deficit.
John-Paul McGovern equalised after a defensive mix-up but Ifil headed into his own net to hand Yeovil the win.
