Peterborough needed a stroke of luck to see off a dogged Yeovil side and keep their promotion hopes on course.

A clearance hit Posh striker Craig Mackail-Smith in the face and rebounded for Aaron McLean to shoot home.

Yeovil were generally on the back foot but had their chances, the best coming when Danny Schofield drew a great save from Joe Lewis.

They nearly snatched an equaliser when Craig Morgan cleared Terry Skiverton's close-range effort off the line.
