Leeds ended their sorry run of away form with a close win thanks to Luciano Becchio's ninth goal of the season.

The visitors had lost their last four away games but Argentine hitman Becchio headed in a Frazer Richardson cross after just seven minutes.

Gary McAllister's side spurned a series of good chances at Whaddon Road with Jermaine Beckford rattling the side-netting after the break.

Injury-hit Cheltenham struggled to carve out any clear-cut openings.
