Full-back Tommy Rowe extended Stockport's unbeaten away record to seven games when he snatched an injury-time winner against Hereford.
Both sides had first-half chances with Stockport's Peter Thompson heading over and Hereford striker Steve Guinan shooting over the bar from 20 yards.
After the break Taylor's shot was cleared by James Tunnicliffe and keeper Fraser Foster denied Andy Williams.
But on the stroke of time Rowe clinched the Hatters' victory with a low shot.

"Obviously it was a killer blow in stoppage time.
"Just before the ball has dropped for Bradley (Hudson-Odoi) nicely and he's snatched at it a little bit.
"We've then got to defend it, but we didn't and therefore we lost the game."
