Kevin Kyle's third goal of the week gave Hartlepool their third successive League One win as they beat Brighton.

Kyle, on-loan from Coventry, headed in after 12 minutes from a corner when goalkeeper Michael Kuipers turned away James Brown's stinging shot.

Joe Anyinsah went close for Brighton with a shot swerved in the wind and that struck the bar after 62 minutes.

Hartlepool almost doubled their lead minutes later, but Richie Jones' finish was just inches wide of the post.
