Danny Whitaker rescued a point for Oldham with a superb equaliser 20 minutes from the end against Leicester.
Steve Howard put the visitors in front as Lloyd Dyer crossed and Howard came from around the back to head powerfully past goalkeeper Mark Crossley.
After Howard hit a post, midfielder Whitaker grabbed his leveller when he floated in a well-struck 25-yard shot.
It denied the Foxes a fifth away win on the trot and preserved the Latics' unbeaten home record.
