A late goal from Leon McSweeney earned Stockport a deserved share of the spoils at home to Northampton.

Chances were scarce in the first half, but the visitors went ahead after striker Karl Hawley fired in from 10 yards following Colin Larkin's cross.

However, With 14 minutes remaining, McSweeney pounced from 12 yards after a fine run from Stephen Gleeson.

Northampton almost grabbed a winner late on, but skipper Chris Doig could only head onto the crossbar.
