Ryan Shotton grabbed the winner as Tranmere beat Huddersfield to earn their first away win in the league since February.
Huddersfield had gone ahead when striker Liam Dickinson curled a superb free-kick past Danny Coyne
Nathan Clarke went close for the home side when he had a point-blank header tipped onto the crossbar before Edrissa Sonko volleyed in an equaliser.
Shotton then stole in unmarked to head home Andy Taylor's inviting free-kick.
Tranmere Rovers manager Ronnie Moore told BBC Radio Merseyside:
"I thought we deserved it, we rode our luck a bit early on but we were competitive.
"We've given away another sloppy goal from a free-kick, with the wall not being organised in the right position.
"After that I think we were the better side, we took the chances when they came and looked dangerous from set-plays."
