Paul Terry, brother of England captain John, grabbed his first for the club firing in from close range following good work by Adam Boyd.
They grabbed their second from the spot when Paul Boertien brought down JJ Melligan and Adam Boyd made no mistake with his penalty.
Walsall's Anthony Gerrard had his side best chance, missing wide with a header from close range.
