Gary Hooper scored a hat-trick in 23 minutes as Scunthorpe ran out comfortable winners over Brighton.

Martyn Woolford scored within four minutes of his first league start, converting a low cross from Paul Hayes.

Hooper struck with a fine individual goal, a close range effort and then a low shot following more hesitation from the edge of the Brighton area.

Brighton substitute Jake Robinson grabbed the home side's consolation with a far-post header.
