Second-half goals from Stephen O'Leary and Bradley Hudson-Odoi resulted in Hereford picking up their first victory of the season against Crewe.
O'Leary lashed home an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net from 25 yards to put the home side in front.
Hudson-Odoi added the second as he curled the ball into the far corner of the net from O'Leary's through ball.
Crewe captain Julien Baudet thought he had scored just before half-time but his strike was ruled offside.
