Leicester bounced back from relegation last season with a comfortable victory at home against MK Dons.
Matty Fryatt bagged a brace for the Foxes, the first coming on 24 minutes when he was fouled in the box by Sean O'Hanlon and scored the penalty.
The visitors' best chance came when Dean Lewington's free-kick fell to Aaron Wilbraham but Paul Henderson was alert to his angled drive.
Fryatt wrapped it up when he guided home Max-Alain Gradel's centre.
