Simon Cox's superb double-strike helped Swindon see off Oldham.
Lee Peacock put the Robins ahead when he met Anthony McNamee's cross, and McNamee also set up Cox to lash home their second from 15 yards.
Cox completed the scoring with another fine finish, linking up with Peacock before turning to rifle his shot home.
Chris Taylor wasted Oldham's best chance after he had been picked out by Neal Eardley in the first half, sending his shot wide of the target.
