David Howland's last-gasp winner kept alive Vale's slim hopes against Leyton Orient in their home encounter.
Adam Boyd gave Orient the lead from the spot after Jabo Ibehre went to ground after a foul by Adam Eckersley.
Marc Richards deservedly equalised with his second goal in two games when he controlled Eckersley's cross and fired past a stranded Morris.
Howland, on loan from Birmingham, grabbed the winner in the dying seconds when he pounced on Glenn Morris' spill.
