Tranmere edged past Swindon to move into the League One play-off places.

Steve Jennings met Shane Sherriff's pass to put Rovers ahead but Swindon almost levelled when Jon McGovern's effort was cleared off the line.

Chris Greenacre doubled Tranmere's lead when he met a deep corner by Paul McLaren before Billy Paynter replied by converting Simon Cox's cross.

Swindon kept coming forward but only a superb save by Peter Brezovan stopped Ian Moore adding a third for Tranmere.
