Paul Connor boosted Cheltenham's survival hopes by scoring his side's winner against Leyton Orient.

Connor, who had earlier hit the post, applied the finishing touch to a scrappy move, finding the bottom-right corner from six yards out.

Steven Gillespie hit the bar twice in quick succession from long range as the home side continued to come forward.

Orient's best effort saw Shane Higgs keep out a Wayne Gray shot, while Sean Thornton shot wide for the O's late on.
