Substitute Adebayo Akinfenwa grabbed his second goal in as many games to earn Northampton a deserved draw against promotion-chasing Leeds. Leeds created the early chances with Jermaine Beckford wasting two openings before Jonathan Howson turned in Bradley Johnson's pinpoint cross.
However, Akinfenwa equalised with 15 minutes remaining, forcing the ball home from Paul Houbertz's pass.
Both sides went close late on but neither could find a winner.
