Matthew Spring's last-gasp free-kick against lowly Port Vale earned Luton their first away win of the season. Spring struck his 35-yard shot well, but Vale goalkeeper Joe Anyon looked in control until the ball sped inches inside his left-hand post.
Luton had the best possible start with Polish central defender Jaroslaw Fojut volleying them ahead on three minutes.
But Vale drew level in first-half stoppage time, when Callum Willock steered his shot past Dean Brill.
