Gary Alexander scored a Boxing Day hat-trick as Millwall eased their relegation fears by beating Brighton. Alexander gave the Lions an early lead when he glanced home Dave Brammer's free-kick in the seventh minute.
After Brighton's Michel Kuipers saved well from Paul Robinson, Alexander made it 2-0 after the break with another header from Marcus Bignot's cross.
Alexander's third came from the spot after Kuipers was harshly adjudged to have brought him down in the box.
