Angel Rangel celebrates Swansea's second goal |
Swansea stayed top of League One with an emphatic win over Southend. Warren Feeney put the home side in front with a header, before the Shrimpers had Nick Bailey sent off following his second bookable offence.
After the break, Paul Anderson broke away down the right and found Angel Rangel in the box and the full-back coolly bent his shot into the corner.
Andy Robinson missed a Swansea penalty, before Thomas Butler headed in a Marcos Painter cross with seven minutes left.
The only negative for the Swans was seeing striker Feeney stretchered off in the 31st minute.
